Eugene Plotkin (Vice President)
Eugene Plotkin graduated from the New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. Throughout his career, Mr. Plotkin has worked in finance and accounting roles in companies ranging in size from about 50 to 300,000 employees in various industries.
Eugene Plotkin has also played an integral part in the development and growth of the NYC Connectivity program at his workplace in 2008 and 2009, intended to bring together employees and make an impact in the community through various volunteering and networking opportunities. In particular, he has led the effort on revitalization of the program’s website and has been actively involved in research, event planning and organization, member recruitment, marketing, and other activities. Consequently, Eugene Plotkin has been recognized for his dedication and significant contribution to this effort with a Compass Award.
One of Mr. Plotkin’s main hobbies includes singing. In the past, he has taken some voice performance classes at NYU. Now, Eugene Plotkin continues to study privately and participates in various competitions and concerts from time to time. To date, Mr. Plotkin has performed music pieces from jazz to opera and has appeared at the prestigious Dicapo Opera Theater in NYC and Chapelle Historique du Bon Pasteur in Montreal, among others.
Eugene Plotkin also enjoys helping people and giving back to the community. For example, he has participated in and later represented his company as a Team Captain at the American Heart Association’s Wall Street Run & Heart Walk. Eugene Plotkin also likes to join thousands of volunteers on the New York Cares Day, who go to over 100 schools in the five boroughs of NYC and paint colorful murals, refresh classrooms, organize libraries, and brighten up playgrounds for the public school students. Mr. Plotkin is an active supporter of other volunteering initiatives and charities around the world.
Now, Eugene Plotkin is thrilled to be able to combine his skills, experience, passion in music, and desire to help others as a Co-Founder and Vice President of the Forte International Music Competition and Festivals, where he hopes to help talented musicians realize their potential.
