Denise Ivanoff currently gives piano lessons and voice lessons in her private studio in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. Her students are regularly offered admission to the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, Professional performing Arts School, and Murrow High School, and have gone on to perform with Symphony Silicon Valley, the New York City Opera, the Pennsylvania Renaissance Festival, the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, and the Berkshire Festival. Ms. Ivanoff also has extensive experience accompanying singers and instrumentalists on both piano and harpsichord, and has rehearsed and directed opera scenes at the Baylor University Opera Theatre. She has performed as a soloist nationally and internationally, including at the Bösendorfer-Saal in Vienna, Austria.

Also an experienced singer and actress, Ms. Ivanoff has participated in performances of Bernstein's Mass and Brahms' Ein Deutsches Requiem, appeared in several stage productions including The Crucible and The Spoon River Anthology, and has been captured on celluloid for assorted commercials, TV pilots, and independent and student films. These practical experiences, as well as acting studies at HB Studio and Stella Adler, give Ms. Ivanoff a unique perspective as a vocal coach.

Ms. Ivanoff was accepted as a member of the New York Singing Teachers’ Association in 2006. Additionally, she is a former President of the New York State Music Teachers Association (NYSMTA), and has also served as a member of the Executive Board and as Newsletter Editor. Ms. Ivanoff was a piano instructor for adult and pre-college education at McLennan Community College, transforming a one-section, one-level class to a multi-section course with a waiting list and creating courses for subsequent levels.

Ms. Ivanoff earned her B.M. degree in Piano magna cum laude from Baylor University, as well the M.M. degree in Piano Pedagogy and Performance, also from Baylor University. Ms. Ivanoff has also studied vocal pedagogy, receiving Level III Certification in Somatic Voicework® The LoVetri Method, at the Contemporary Commercial Music Vocal Pedagogy Institute at Shenandoah Conservatory in Virginia.
