Brief info

Gina Trombetta is an active freelance trombone player and music educator with the New York City Department of Education and Artful Learning Communities. She has performed in various jazz orchestras including DIVA, Ed Palermo, Mike Longo, Howard Williams, Stan Rubin, Richie Cereres and Mary Lou Williams Project in New York and New Jersey.

Gina has also performed with the Bob Freedman, Buselli-Wallarab, Larry Elgart, Jimmy Dorsey, Steve Allee and Al Cobine Jazz Orchestras in Arizona and Indiana. Orchestral and chamber groups include Chico, Shasta, Redding, Bloomington, Columbus, Terre Haute, Evansville, Anderson Symphony Orchestras, Staten Island Philharmonic, Regina Opera Company, Arcadian Chorale and Arizona Winds in New York, California, Indiana and Arizona.

Degrees include a BA from California State University, Chico and an MA in music from Indiana University, Bloomington, as well as Orff-Schulwerk and Kodaly Level 1 Certifications. She has served on the faculty of Mesa Community College, Terre Haute, Shell Lake Arts and University of Wisconsin Green Bay summer jazz camps in Arizona, Indiana and Wisconsin. Gina became a NYSSMA brass adjudicator in 2011 and has many public school jazz/concert band judging and auditioning experiences. Currently she is teaching at a performing arts school in Brooklyn and continues to be a cooperating teacher of college music students.
